About Invisalign® Treatment

Invisalign® Treatment is a type of orthodontic treatment that helps to straighten teeth without the use of the typical metal.

Invisalign® Treatment involves wearing a series of custom-made clear plastic aligners that help shift your teeth into the proper position.

Who Is a Candidate for Invisalign Treatment?

Teens and adults who want a less noticeable option rather than traditional orthodontics could be excellent candidates for Invisalign treatment. Additionally, Invisalign treatment can be helpful for resolving dental malocclusion (overbite, open bite, crossbite, or underbite), narrow dental arches, crooked or overcrowded teeth, and uneven spacing between teeth. During your visit to Gardens Cosmetic and Family Dentistry, our staff will take dental x-rays and provide an evaluation to help determine if Invisalign aligners are ideal for you.

What are the Benefits of Invisalign Treatment?

Traditional metal braces can be uncomfortable and can cause difficulties when eating or speaking. They also are visible when you smile, which can be embarrassing in social situations. Invisalign aligners, on the other hand, are virtually invisible and comfortable to wear. The removable aligners also make it easy to eat and drink whatever you like during treatment. Our trained team at Gardens Dentistry understands that metal braces can be inconvenient for our patients. That is why we are proud to offer this innovative solution.

How long do you have to wear Invisalign® Clear braces?

It completely depends on your teeth. For simple cases, you can see results as short as three to six months. But typically, Invisalign will take 12 months to 18 months to straighten your teeth.

Invisalign aligners FAQs

How do I clean Invisalign aligners?

Gardens Cosmetic and Family Dentistry recommends cleaning Invisalign aligners at least once a day using a soft toothbrush and mild soap. Do not use boiling water or products with irritating products or chemicals. Rinse the aligners thoroughly to remove any residue before placing them back in your mouth. These steps will keep them free from grime and harmful bacteria.

When can I take off the aligners?

Patients should only remove Invisalign aligners when eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. They may also be removed when playing contact sports (such as football and hockey) so you can wear a proper mouthguard and protect your teeth from damage. Dr. Martz will provide special instructions — so you know when it’s okay to take out the aligners.

What if I have a broken or damaged Invisalign aligner?

It is normal for some wear and tear to occur over the course of your Invisalign treatment. However, if an aligner is cracked or broken, please call our office in Las Vegas, NV, immediately. We will schedule an appointment for you to come in and get a new aligner. Wearing a broken aligner may cause unwanted consequences, so it’s important to replace them as soon as possible.
